Support for New Ministers
The UUA offers specialized programming and support for new ministers, including a monthly “PF Flyers” gathering for ministers in Preliminary Fellowship. These monthly gatherings include seminars for support and learning with presenters from around the UUA. The annual New Minister seminar orients ministers to the existing resources of our Association and provides opportunities for the deepening of collegial connections.
Rev. Marta I. Valentin, the UUA’s Professional Development Director says: “The ministers who attend these two programs become more grounded in their ministries and more assured of their skills. They learn that their challenges are not theirs alone, and that in creating community with each other, they can learn together and support each other.”
